About Heide

 

I am a registered concentrative movement therapist (CMT, Austria), dance movement psychotherapist, and clinicial supervisor (ADMP, UK). I work under regular supervision and adhere to the Association of Concentrative Movement Therapy (CMT) and Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapy (ADMP) code of ethics. My experience spans over thirteen years working therapeutically with children, adolescents and adults in various mental health settings while cooperating with multi-disciplinary teams.

In Vienna I run a private practice offering psychotherapy and clinical supervision. In addition, I work for the charity 'Hemayat - Centre for Victims of War and Torture' (www.hemayat.org), where I provide interpreter-assisted psychotherapy to migrants & severely traumatized refugees. 

My professional background is in organisational development and education.

Prior relevant work experience

  • Fairtherapy - Centre for Trauma Therapy, Vienna: clinical lead; managing a team of 16 therapists, liaising with relevant stakeholders, negotiating with insurances, group and individual therapy for trauma patients 
  • Caritas Wien – Hilfe in Not, Vienna: Intercultural trauma therapy with asylum seekers, migrants and refugees. Interpreter—assisted therapy as well as psychotherapy in German and English language
  • Sigmund Freud Private University, Children’s and Adolescent Day Clinic, Vienna: Individual therapy with children and adolescents as well as parent counselling
  • Project Manager for Place2Be at two primary schools in Pimlico, London: Psychotherapist/ Supervisor managing two therapeutic teams, liaising within the schools and social services, CAMHS and NGOs.
